Professor Felix Ankomah Asante

Professor Felix Ankomah Asante is the Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Research, Innovation and Development at the University of Ghana. Prior to this appointment, he served as Director of the Institute of Statistical, Social and Economic Research (ISSER), University of Ghana from 2013 to 2019. He previously served in various capacities at ISSER as Deputy Director from 2011 to 2013 and Head of the Economics Division from 2007 to 2011.

He was a member of the Grant Review Committee of the Board of Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA), Kenya from 2017 to 2023. Prof. Ankomah Asante is a board member of the International Center for Evaluation Development (ICED) based in Kenya. He is the Co-Chair of the International Scientific Advisory Board of the German Institute of Development and Sustainability (IDOS), Bonn, Germany under the Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development. In 2007, Professor Asante became the first Ghanaian to be inducted into the DAAD sponsored “African Good Governance Network”, under the patronage of the former President of the Federal Republic of Germany, H.E Horst Köhler.

He is the immediate past President and member of the Ghana Association of Agricultural Economists (GAAE) and a member of the International Association of Agricultural Economists (IAAE).
